This page explains how we decide what goes on Student Discount Offers and how we try to keep it accurate and useful for UK students.
What we publish
- Brand pages that list current offers, codes and student discounts from UK retailers and services.
- Category pages that group offers, such as TV and broadband, and mobile and SIM.
- Guides on saving money as a student, such as travel, bills and freshers’ costs.
Where offers come from
Most offers come from retailers through the affiliate networks we work with, or directly from retailers. We show the terms we are given and link to the retailer so you can check the details. We do not make up discounts or describe an offer as bigger than it is.
Accuracy and updates
- Offers can change or end without warning.
- Guides show a “last checked” date so you can see when the facts were reviewed.
- For facts such as prices, eligibility and rules, we use official sources, such as the retailer or provider’s own website.
- If you spot a mistake, tell us through our complaints page and we will check and correct it.
Student eligibility
We say clearly when an offer is only for students and how eligibility is checked, where the retailer tells us. Some offers listed are open to everyone but useful on a student budget, and we say so.
Commission and independence
We may earn a commission when you use our links. It never costs you more, and it keeps the site free. Full details are on our how we make money page.
How we write
We write in plain English, avoid hype and fake urgency, and do not call an offer “verified” or “exclusive” unless that is true and we can explain why.
